Roadster Show

The Roadster Show has been an Armstrong Tradition from the very beginning of our family. It was the first car show I ever went to when I wondered why everyone was showing off fancy paint jobs (and what the difference was to need so many of 'em!)

We took Shad when he was a baby. I found this old shot of Shad and Aidan when they were 2 & 3 relaxing under the big ball.

Jeremy went with his dad the year Bob was living in Oregon. We're never certain why we keep going to it, really. If I was to guess, I'd say we're ready for car show season to start again, but summer is a long time off, yet.

We let the kids get a toy car. It's cheaper than a snack at those events, you know. Camten picked out an expensive green one this year.

Over the years I've seen more and more at the car shows... the cool motors, the after-market parts, the tremendous amount of money and work that goes into them. I had never examined paint jobs like I did this year, tho, and there were a few that really stood out. I love the "candies", which I'm told are really hard to do. This purple and silver combo was a cool idea, we thought. (that's a real car.)

This year our Maaco was in the program and we had a stack of flyers out on the table that also went in all the goodie bags. We all wore our matching Maaco shirts and stuck together except for this break. I suppose we could count our trip as business? Sweet!
